22 - 29 August, Kampterrein de Maashorst
The EHS Foundation has reserved the Maashorst camp site in Uden from 22 to 29 August 2025. This campsite is located in a beautiful vast nature reserve and the radiation is very low. You are free to choose which days and nights you want to come. Indicate your choice on the registration form.
Deadline for registration is 15 August, to arrange catering and other facilities.
Programme
Saturday 23 August will be our national contact day. The theme is EHS and health. In the morning programme, we have several lectures on developments related to EHS, inclusion and health. In the afternoon programme, more do-things are planned. There will be a workshop by Hester van Deutekom on Neuroplasticity, a walk and more smaller workshops. In the evening, you can dance in the big tent.
Sunday 24 August is the international programme in cooperation with the Europeans for Safe Connections and other radiation-aware organisations from the Netherlands and Belgium. The theme of the day is: ‘How to make as many people as possible, especially the general public, aware of the health risks of radiation?’ Do you see social media as a contender, or are you more interested in film? Do you enjoy writing to governments or do you prefer to focus on the people around you? Do you think children should be made aware first, or would nature perhaps be an entry point? As an introduction to this theme, we first look at the Drama “Enough is Enough”. The Dutch premiere of a play by Kevin Lerat about EHS performed by Belgian actress Kristien Pottie.
For the rest of the week, the grounds are available for holidays, reading, hiking, making fires (if conditions allow), cooking together, or organising workshops with and for each other: think yoga, dance, writing, meditating, painting, hiking with a theme, etc. You are free to invent and offer something yourself. You can do this by putting up an announcement in a central place. Activities you offer to each other are free of charge. However, you can ask for a small contribution for costs incurred, e.g. for the use of paper and paint.
Costs
Below are the costs for the programme, food and accommodation. We have done our best to keep the costs as low as possible. Should the cost still be an obstacle for you to come, send us an email. Location and route information
PLEASE NOTE: This is an occasional campsite/group camping site hired out entirely by the EHS foundation. It is therefore not a regular campsite on the Maashorst. Questions about the site, the facilities available or travel possibilities can only be asked via: info@stichtingehs.nl.
About the terrain
The site is suitable for tents, campers and caravans. There is a toilet block with electricity, hot showers and 3 toilets. On weekends, we will provide an extra toilet van, larger tents for workshops, enough tables and chairs and catering. There will be strict rules regarding the use of mobile equipment throughout the week: this is forbidden on the whole site, throughout the week, with a clear spot at a distance where it is allowed. Several tents are available for loan. There are no equipped camping facilities for rent.
Measurements in the field
We took measurements at 8 sites in the field. We did this with an HFE 35 C (measures the lower frequencies from 27 to 2700 MHz), and an HFW 59 D (measures the higher frequencies from 2.4 to 10 GHz). The measured values were all close to each other and they were very low.
- The measured values of the low frequencies were between 4.2 and 4.4 microwatts per m2 with 4.7 microwatts per m2 at one point.
- The measurement values of the higher frequencies were all between 0.01 and 0.03 microwatt per m2.
NB The radar at Volkel 6 km away was not measurable on the Maashorst site. We also measured closer to Volkel. There, the radar was indeed clearly detectable.
Arrival and departure
You are welcome from 22 August 3pm. The week ends on 29 August at noon. You leave the site clean and empty.
Help
We have various practical tasks and chores to share on site. We will organise this partly on site and partly in advance. If you want to help out and have not yet indicated this in the interest survey, please let us know.
